• Discussed Newsspeak, as seen in Ch. 1-4 of Orwell's 1984.
• Supplemented the students' analysis with the online Newspeak Dictionary (Thanks, JB!)
• Watched some more of the Truman Documentary: The American Experience we began in class yesterday

• Truman Documentary - The American Experience - 2:17:12 - @1:27:42 - FDR-->Truman
• Analyzed highlighted items in 1984 - Teacher's Annotated Text, most of which are key aspects of the Orwellian dystopia. Students are asked to explain what each of the yellow highlighted terms is.
